Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assists surgeons and anesthesiologists in the operating room during open-heart surgery
- Cleans equipment and has it serviced for any malfunctions observed.
- Contributes to continuous quality improvement which focuses on customer satisfaction, outcomes, and cost
- Provides patient and support staff training related to ancillary equipment.
- Maintains the perfusion record during each case using EPIC electronic charting.
- Sets-up, processes, and disposes of cell saver supplies as outlined in the perfusion manual for autotransfusion.
- Operates simple circuit for liver transplants
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Perfusion Technology.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Certified Perfusionist with a couple years experience in the field.
- BLS required
- Arkansas Perfusion License required.
